Throughout the year members of many textile groups and the wider public have worked
on the production of a large wallhanging "The Cheviot, the Stag, the Oil and Beyond".
The hanging was designed by Joan Baxter to incorporate as many different techniques as possible
and also to involve as many people as we could in its production.
In it’s almost finished state, it got its first public airing during the weekend of
1st and 2nd September 2007 - "Have an Adventure with Threads".

The group are now working on the production of a final report and arranging a public meeting
at which this will be presented - date to be confirmed.
